The Commission on the Status of Women, New York

National International Secretary Madge Fahy will represent
CWLA at the Commission on the Status of Women's 49th session
from the 28th of February to 11th of March 2005 at the United
Nation's Headquarters in New York. The commission will focus
on two thematic issues:
- Review of the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action and the outcome documents of the special session of the General Assembly entitled "Women 2000: gender equality, development and peace for the 21st Century."
- Current challenges and forward looking strategies for the advancement and empowerment of women and girls.
